Achievements and Qualifications
From an early age, I was always interested in anything mechanical that could be dismantled, to investigate how it worked
In the late 70s, my interest became more focused on clocks and watches as a collector / dealer and eventually also repairer.
Later on, I decided to turn this passion into my full time job and become a professional watch and clock repairer with professional accreditations.
So I went back to college to gain a diploma in Horology.
This course was really invaluable to me as it gave me the opportunity to gain knowledge by working with professionals of high caliber and, at the same time, acquire experience of the necessary equipment needed to carry out professional repairs.
The studies leading to the Diploma in Technical Horology were run in conjunction with The British Horological Institute curriculum and exams.
Additionally, I attended the Rolex course and was accredited with the Approved Rolex Repairers affiliation.
I also attended a short course in Complicated Watches run by Antoine Simonin, that at the time was director of WOSTEP (Watchmakers of Switzerland Training and Educational Program) ... but please note that I no longer service watches, I will only do small jobs on watches, such as replacing glasses or batteries
I have plenty of experience,
as since the beginning of my professional career, I have repaired all types of clocks
for the trade and the general public.
Locally, I have carried out repairs for the Canterbury Cathedral
and the Kings School,
as well as for local jewellers, antique shops and other clock repairers.
